Based in North Yorkshire, we are husband and wife, Julia and Steve and, alongside our brilliant team, run Barumba! 

We love live music, festivals, good beer and cocktails, and like to think we know how to run a brilliant bar.

If you book Barumba for your event, not only will you have a gorgeous bar 'centrepiece', but you can guarantee we'll also bring the energy, style and vibe, and add that extra special something!

Between us, we have over 20 years experience in hospitality and events, and in addition to Barumba, own and run 'The Mess Room Bar' which we opened in 2019, and then expanded in 2022 to create 'The Mess Room Bar & Live Lounge'.

Running a live music venue, we also have lots of experience in organising events and booking bands and musicians,

and are always happy to provide suggestions should you also be looking for live music for your event.

Having run The Mess Room for over 5 years, we had an urge to get on the road, and take what we do to events, wedding, parties and festivals up and down the country,  So in early 2024, we bought a vintage horse box trailer, found the best guys in the country to help convert her, gave them a huge list of wants and must-haves, and voila - Barumba was born!
